In the Life in Pieces episode ‘Poison Fire Teats Universe’, after not making it to their destination wedding in Mexico, Colleen and Matt wonder if they’ll ever get married. Stuck at an airport hotel, they share a drink at the hotel bar where they come across lounge singer/pianist Buddy Daiquiri who reveals that his real name is Joey Midnight. To cheer up Colleen and Matt, he plays and whistles the song, “Hold On To The Nights.”
Buddy Daiquiri/Joey Midnight is portrayed by real life “Hold On To The Nights” power balladeer Richard Marx, who btw is married to former MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes (see photo below). Life in Pieces airs Thursdays at 9:30pm on CBS.
