For his Top 10 performance on The Voice, Hunter Plake on Team Gwen sang Steve Winwood’s smash hit “Higher Love” and made it his own. After the show, Plake spoke with a reporter from Entertainment Tonight who said she loved the set design including the lasers. Hunter gave props to Jerry at The Voice “who’s a genius” and “actually choreographed and did the staging for the Super Bowl performance for Coldplay.” (Coldplay is one of Hunter’s favorite bands.) Hunter smiles talking about Jerry: “Me and him are like in the same vein as in the way we think. When I show up he’s already doing something I would do.”

Hunter went on to say, “Sometimes I show up wearing the same clothes as him. He hears what I’m doing musically and matches it perfectly with the stage.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
