In the second-season premiere of Humans, a new character is introduced — Dr. Athena Morrow, a pioneer artificial intelligence (AI) scientist. “She’s a genius,” says Humans writer Sam Vincent, “who’s working toward a very different goal than the one she presents to the world.” Athena gets seduced into working on a special project by slick entrepreneur Milo (Marshall Allman) who holds the key to what Athena wants.
Athena is portrayed by Carrie-Anne Moss. The Canadian-born actress is known for her roles on Netflix’s Jessica Jones (Jeri Hogarth), Vegas (Katherine O’Connell), Chuck (Gertrude Verbanski), and Models Inc. (Carrie Spencer), among others. Moss is also well recognized for her roles in the films The Matrix (Trinity), Memento (Natalie) and Chocolat (Caroline Clairmont). Humans airs Mondays at 10pm on AMC.
