In the series premiere of Doubt, Sadie Ellis (Katherine Heigl) is a successful defense attorney who falls for her charismatic client Dr. Billy Brennan, a pediatric surgeon. She’s defending him not for malpractice but murder. The handsome and altruistic doctor is accused of murdering his girlfriend 24 years ago.
Dr. Billy Brennan is portrayed by Steven Pasquale. He’s known for his roles on Bloodline (Alec Wolos), The People v. O.J. Simpson (Detective Mark Fuhrman), Billions (Chase), The Good Wife (Alicia’s campaign manager Johnny Elfman), and Rescue Me (Sean Garrity), among others. Doubt airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CBS.
