Renee Maloney is the co-founder and CFO of Painting With a Twist, a painting art studio where customers come to paint and sip wine (or whatever they like) while having fun with friends. Maloney goes undercover on Undercover Boss to check in on the franchises. (There are 324 across the U.S.) While at the Royersford, Pennsylvania store, Renee/Savannah was asked to smile, greet customers and check them in as they walked in the door. But her first attempts were not successful.
As the manager pointed out, “She was very quiet, they (the customers) had to lean in” so far across the counter he thought “they were going to check themselves in.” Afterwards, the manager encouraged Savannah to get “Fired up.” He reminded her that “We want them excited when they walk in the door.” Savannah tried but she’s not even close to being fired up. The manager admits to the camera, “I’m losing my energy trying to get her energy up. She’s sucking the life out of me.” Undercover Boss airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CBS.
