Season 23 of Dancing with the Stars features 13 celebrities including actress and author Marilu Henner. Henner’s breakout role came when she was cast as Elaine Nardo in the groundbreaking 1970s TV series Taxi, a show that also launched the careers of her co-stars Judd Hirsch, Tony Danza, Danny DeVito, Andy Kaufman and Christopher Lloyd. It was a smart cast, but Henner may have been the smartest: she possesses a photographic memory so astonishing that it has been studied by scientists and featured on 60 Minutes.
As an author Henner’s books include Total Memory Makeover: Uncover Your Past, Take Charge of Your Future and more recently a book about how she helped her husband beat cancer without chemotherapy or radiation, Changing Normal: How I Helped My Husband Beat Cancer. The 64-year-old, who also starred in Evening Shade with Burt Reynolds, recently hosted a nationally syndicated radio show called The Marilu Henner Show.
