ABC will broadcast the 3-hour special The CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock. The annual event in Nashville is hosted by Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett. Megastars including Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban — and lots more — will perform. Emerging star Cassadee Pope will perform too. (She won Season 3 of The Voice in 2012, on Team Blake.) While wearing a gold halter jumpsuit by Rani Zakhem (from his 2014 couture collection), she’ll sing the duet “Think of You” with Chris Young.
In June, Pope released her solo EP Summer. In the fall, she’ll tour with Chris Young again and is working on her next full length album. Pope recently said: “I have this track list all ready to go. It’s just a matter of when it’s crunch time.” ABC will broadcast The CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock on Wednesday, August 3 at 8pm.
