In the Rizzoli & Isles episode “Post Mortem”, when Detectives Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and Korsak (Bruce McGill) investigate the murder of a mailman, they draw their weapons on an armed postal inspector. Turns out she’s conducting her own investigation. She believes there were illegal operations going on in the postal facility when the mailman worked.
The postal inspector is portrayed by Yvette Nicole Brown. She’s known for her roles on The Odd Couple (Dani), The Soul Man (Robyn), Community (Shirley Bennett), Drake & Josh (Helen), and The Big House (Eartha Cleveland), among others. Brown will appear next in New Edition: The Movie as band member Michael Bivin’s mother Shirley Bivins. Rizzoli & Isles airs Mondays at 9pm on TNT.
