On the NCIS episode “Return to Sender,” while McGee goes apartment hunting, NCIS tries to find two British prisoners, including a former spy, who have escaped and arrived in the U.S. via a shipping container. The team partners with Senior FBI Agent T.C. Fornell (Joe Spano) and Homeland Security Director Tom Morrow.

Americans recognized the New Zealand-born actor from his roles on Hot in Cleveland (Emmet), Once Upon a Time (King George/Albert Spencer), Entourage (John Ellis), Lost (Charles Widmore), Ugly Betty (Bradford Meade), The O.C. (Caleb Nichol), and 24 (Vice President Jim Prescott), among others. Dale is also recognized for his roles in the films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Councilman Rockwell), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Detective Isaksson), and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (General Ross).
