During the Season 2 premiere of Empire, Bravo reality star Miss Lawrence performed on the show. He sang the 1978 Sylvester disco song “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” a capella for Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett)… in his office, across his desk. On the show, Miss Lawrence said he was going to present an award to Jamal and suggested they perform a duet after which Jamal said, “Let’s think about that.” Miss Lawrence knows shade when he hears it — he made his national TV debut on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
When not on TV — he’s also co-host of Bravo’s Fashion Queens — Miss Lawrence runs the upscale, boutique Lawrence Washington Salon in Atlanta. As a stylist, his clients include RHOA’s Kenya Moore, songbird Ciara, tennis star Serena Williams, and actress Angela Bassett. Empire airs Wednesdays at 9pm on FOX.
