It’s strange to watch a “new” episode of Mob Wives knowing Big Ang is gone. Angela “Big Ang” Raiola died in February after losing a battle with stage four brain and lung cancer. The day before she died, she appeared on the Dr. Oz Show and said that she and her husband Neil Murphy were separated because “Neil couldn’t step up to the plate.”
Murphy, a city worker with the city sanitation department, admits it was difficult to support Big Ang financially. Although media has described their relationship recently as estranged, Murphy says two days before she died, as he was walking her to her bed, she hummed a song and started to slow dance with him. Mob Wives airs Wednesdays at 8pm on VH1.
