Former member of both the Klu Klux Klan and the House of Representatives (Louisiana), David Duke is in the news for voicing his support of presidential candidate Donald Trump. Duke is also a supporter of rock star and gun rights activist Ted Nugent who was recently “attacked by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL)” for suggesting that prominent Jewish Americans are behind stronger gun control laws. Nugent posted a graphic on Facebook which included photos of political leaders including New York’s Chuck Schumer and Chicago’s Rahm Emanuel, among others.
Duke made a rant-filled video to “set the record straight” regarding Nugent’s graphic. Duke’s defense of Nugent focused on Senator Schumer and his cousin, comedian Amy Schumer, who recently held a joint anti-gun presentation. Duke says he doesn’t know why they chose Amy Schumer. (Note: her movie Trainwrecked was the film showing when gunman John Russell Houser walked into a Louisiana movie theater and opened fire, killing two people and injuring nine before he shot himself.) Duke goes on to call Amy Schumer “the nastiest, crudest, most disgusting slut whore in the history of the known world.” At the end of the video, Duke addresses Nugent, “If you stay strong, Mr. Nugent, you’ll bring more people by your side than ever before in your lifetime. You’ll have more fans than ever before. Your venues will overflow across America just like Trump’s.“
