Jimmy Kimmel returns to Brooklyn for five shows beginning Monday October 19. Many speculate that the return to New York’s hippest borough is just an easy way for Kimmel to gather a lifetime’s supply of mean tweets — from the mean streets — for his famous segment. Kimmel will just have to stand outside on Flatbush Avenue for an hour and record what people yell at him. (The writers union will probably object!) Kimmel’s Fuhggeddaboudit mini tour will broadcast from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Howard Gilman Opera House. BAM is the type of cool and fancy spot that didn’t exist in the Brooklyn of Kimmel’s youth.
Guests for the week Kimmel gets back in the New York groove include a galaxy of cultural luminaries including Jay Z, Donald Trump, Bradley Cooper, Tracy Morgan, Howard Stern, Public Enemy, Bill Murray, Ryan Adams, Michael J. Fox and ballerina Misty Copeland.
