Country singer Justin Moore released his third album, Off The Beaten Path, in 2013. His first studio albums – Justin Moore and Outlaws Like Me – hit Gold-selling status, that is, they each sold more than 500,000 albums. With the help of Big Music Machine’s Valory Music Group, Moore is pushing to get Off The Beaten Path on the Golden path, too. (As of April 2015, almost 345,000 copies of Off the beaten Path had been sold.)
Moore told Billboard that he’s “putting some fan incentives in play to try to speed the process along.” Moore said: “We decided to go do something fun for the fans. We’re going to pick a fan and go play in their backyard if we achieve our goal… It will be fun. We’re going to throw a party in someone’s backyard, so go buy an album. You just might win it,” he says. For more information on the contest, visit GoldRecordChallenge.net. Moore will perform a song from the album on the iHeartCountry Festival on May 27, 9pm on NBC.
