The 48 Hours episode ‘The DNA of a Killer’ looks into the unsolved murder of 18-year-old Angie Dodge. In 1996, Dodge was raped and stabbed to death in her Idaho Falls, Idaho apartment. Even though police collected DNA evidence including semen, they have not been able to find a match. Authorities used a public DNA database owned by Ancestry.com which led them to filmmaker Michael Usry, who became a suspect in the Angie Dodge case and was eventually cleared. 48 Hours correspondent Anne-Marie Green interviews Usry, among others.
Anne-Marie Green joined CBS News in January 2013. The Canadian-born TV journalist is an anchor for CBS News Up to the Minute. Prior to CBS, she was a reporter at CBS 3 in Philadelphia. Green won the Doris Haire Award in 2007 for her reporting on the high number of C-sections in New Jersey and won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award in 2011 for her reporting on a fatal duck boat crash on the Schuylkill River. 48 Hours airs Saturdays at 10pm on CBS.
