That’s what Ashley Callingbull brings to her work: presence — not just her acting, which will improve and grow in power, but her presence.
Technique can be learned, but presence can’t. Callingbull was crowned Mrs. Universe in Belarus this weekend, the first native to wear the crown. She’s from Enoch Cree Nation in Canada, where she has also been named Miss Canada. Callingbull is 25. It’s fitting she’s now Mrs. Universe, since she’s destined for the stars.
