Hollywood movie star Alec Baldwin is known for his roles in movies including Beetlejuice, Working Girl, Married to the Mob, The Hunt for Red October, Glengarry Glen Ross, Mission: Impossible, and The Cooler, among many others.
He’s also known for his portrayal of the over-the-top media executive Jack Donaghy on Tina Fey‘s 30 Rock, and for his impersonation of former President Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live.
(When Joe Biden won the presidency in 2020, Baldwin said of his role as Trump on SNL: “I don’t believe I’ve ever been this overjoyed to lose a job before!”)
A well-known Democrat who endorsed Barack Obama in both his presidential campaigns, Baldwin is also good friends with Curb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines, wife of 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Baldwin has said on his podcast that “everyone loves” Hines.
Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David introduced Hines to Kennedy. During a recent interview with The New York Times, Kennedy said about his wife’s circle: “I feel a lot of support and love from most of her friends, including Larry.” (The Times reports that Larry David clarified in a text: “Yes love and support, but I’m not ‘supporting’ him.”)
[NOTE: RFK Jr. has angered many fellow Democrats and members of the Kennedy family with his controversial views against vaccination.]
But when Kennedy shared the video above, announcing his “mass experiment” (to tell people the truth, he says) Baldwin confessed: “You’ve got to admit. He’s compelling. And his philosophy of government is refreshing. Most of these candidates have none.”

2024 remains a long way off, given how quickly the world moves and changes. Baldwin seems ready for anything politically. When conservative writer Bill Kristol (The Weekly Standard, The Bulwark) recently shared the article below which reads ‘If Biden for some reason changes his mind and decides not to run again, the Gretchen Whitmer-Wes Moore ticket will be very strong in 2024,” Baldwin retweeted it.

Baldwin also retweeted Kennedy’s announcement about former Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich becoming Kennedy’s campaign manager.
I am delighted to announce @Dennis_Kucinich as the manager of my Presidential campaign. A former 8-term member of Congress, he has been both an icon of progressive politics and an iconoclastic, game-changing force within progressive politics. #Kennedy24https://t.co/UGeSIysVQ7

Like David, Baldwin may not be supporting RFK Jr, but he’s certainly supporting Hines. Below are Baldwin and Hines chatting it up on his podcast, Here’s the Thing with Alec Baldwin.
