British actress Simone Ashley became a household name in the U.S. when she landed the role of Kate Sharma (who became Kate, Viscountess Bridgerton) on the Netflix series Bridgerton. Her character Kate and her new husband Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) have been nicknamed ‘Kanthony’ by American fans.
When not on the Bridgerton set, Ashley is often turning heads on a red carpet.
Ashley didn’t disappoint when she attended the premiere of Disney’s Little Mermaid, as seen below in a hot pink and white lace tiny push-up corset mini dress. Ashley plays Ariel’s sister, Indira.
Ashley’s fans and famous friends are going wild over the sexy dress by Versace. Halle Bailey (who plays the titular Disney character in Little Mermaid) dropped a series of red-heart-eye emojis.
Ayesha Curry (NBA star Steph Curry‘s wife) dropped two fire emojis, and fellow Hollywood star Florence Pugh (Black Widow, Little Women, Don’t Worry Darling) replied: “Wowwwwww you’re magical!”
Ashley will appear next in the upcoming animated comedy 10 Lives. It’s about a pampered and selfish cat who, after carelessly losing his ninth life, pleads for another and is granted his wish. Bill Nighy and former One Direction star Zayn Malik provide voices, too.
