Keke Palmer is the former child star who made her acting debut in the 2004 film Barbershop 2: Back in Business. She went on to land roles in Akeelah and the Bee, Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion, and Nickelodeon shows True Jackson, VP and Winx Club, among others.
As an adult, the 26-year-old actress/singer is known for her roles on Scream (Kym), Lee Daniels’ Star (Gigi Nixon), and most recently in the film Hustlers with Jennifer Lopez.
It’s been four years since Keke has released new music (check out her 2016 album Waited to Exhale). So her fans are excited to learn that she’s making new music.
Keke announced the new music news on Instagram while wearing a leopard-print string bikini top. She captioned the video above: “This is Kiki, not to be confused with Keke & she’s giving u new music all 2020.”
When retired NBA champion Dwyane Wade (and husband of Gabrielle Union) saw it, he replied: “Robbins‼️‼️‼️” Dwyane Wade and Keke are both from Robbins, Illinois, one of the oldest incorporated African American communities in the U.S. and the oldest black suburb in the Chicagoland area.
