Dwayne The Rock Johnson continues to surprise people with his candor and passion, and especially with how seriously he takes his role as an influencer and a role model. We’re not just talking about influencer the way it’s used so often these days, as someone with enough followers to move product online.
No, The Rock knows he has a real influence on his fans, young and old, and he wants it to be a positive influence. He takes responsibility for his position like few celebs can.
In the video above, Dwayne Johnson talks about personal motivation throughout his life and how it has evolved. During his talk he reveals, as he has before, about his family being evicted from their home in Hawaii when he was a teenager.
But here The Rock also reveals how he was still broke when he began professional wrestling, despite the joy and passion it gave him. The Rock says he ate at Waffle House three times a day, “plus snacks,” in those days because it was all he could afford.
And he loved it. Johnson, as befits his generous personality, gives a big shout out thank you to Waffle House for being there.
And we would like to add that the Waffle House chicken sandwich is awesome. Just sayin’. But who knew it was bodybuilding food?!!
