Cali Wilson is the 28-year-old singer originally from Salem, Iowa competing on Season 17 of The Voice. When she performed a quiet rendition of the Fleetwood Mac song “Dreams” for her Blind Audition, she got Blake Shelton, John Legend and Gwen Stefani to turn their chairs. She choose Blake! Cali beat EllieMae during The Battles and is now headed into the Knockout Round.
According to The Voice, Cali gave up singing and performing “when she realized she was gay and felt she couldn’t be herself in her small town.” At 15, she started songwriting as an escape.
Now Cali lives in Nashville and works as a kickboxing instructor. When not in the gym or filming The Voice, Wilson is likely spending time with her “favorite human”, her girlfriend Gracie (see photos), and often in bikinis!
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC.
