Keshia Knight Pulliam, 40, who played the adorable Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, looks awesome as she throws major shade in the latest Lifetime movie. Knight Pulliam plays the ambitious Caroline Bingley in an update of Pride and Prejudice — and you don’t want to get in her way.
Here’s the plot: The wife of Southern Baptist church Reverend Bennet (Reginald VelJohnson, Family Matters), Mrs. Bennet (Jackée Harry, 227), is desperate to find husbands for her “very single” daughters, including her second eldest Elizabeth aka “Lizzie” (Tiffany Hines).
Mrs. Bennet has her eyes set on the tall, handsome, rich Mr. Will Darcy (Juan Antonio). But so does equally rich and single Caroline, the snobby and conceited sister of Charles Bingley (Brad James). The minute Darcy shows an interest in Lizzie, Caroline/Knight Pulliam throws some major shade at Lizzie and her whole family. We’re a long way from cute Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show.
As an adult actress, Knight Pulliam has appeared on shows including House of Payne (Miranda Payne) and in films including Madea Goes to Jail (Candace Washington), and Beauty Shop (Darnelle), among others. Pulliam was also a contestant on Donald Trump’s The Celebrity Apprentice Season 7 in 2014, and on the premiere season of Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.
Pulliam will appear next in the film My Brother’s Keeper with fellow former child star Joey Lawrence (Gimme a Break, Blossom), who plays a military veteran struggling with PTSD and his faith. Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, June 1 at 8 pm.
