The protagonist of the Lifetime movie Sins and Seduction (originally titled Do Not Be Deceived) is progressive pastor Leslie Reynolds. She’s new in town and sees only the good in people. Even when she suspects church member Gareth Wilkinson (Brandon Quinn, The Fosters) of physically abusing his wife Emma (Blair Bomar), she gives him a chance. Even when Emma suddenly goes missing, Leslie is willing to hear Gareth out. When he makes his move on Leslie and kisses her, she doesn’t pull back right away. Hey, she’s not married although she is in a relationship with John (Rib Hillis). John tried to warn Leslie about Gareth.
Pastor Leslie is portrayed by Nicky Whelan. The Australian-born model/actress is known for her roles in a variety of films including The Wedding Ringer (Nadia), Hall Pass (Leigh), Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups with Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman, and Halloween II (Wendy Snow), among others. American TV viewers will also recognize her as Maya from Scrubs (see link above). Sins and Seduction premieres on Lifetime on Friday, March 8 at 8 pm.
