In The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episode “The Proof Hurts,” while new wife Denise Richards tells Lisa Rinna that she’s getting married again, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave confesses her involvement in the Dorit Kemsley dog drama to Erika Girardi. She confesses, of all places, in Erika’s chapel. Yes, Erika had a chapel put into her Pasadena mansion. The curved ceiling room is lined with gilded wallpaper and decorated with tall iron lanterns and large wooden and stone religious statues. The tallest appears to be some kind of church official (a bishop or cardinal, whichever one wears the pointed hat).
When Teddi tells Erika, “I fell for it and I got caught in the web of gossiping and talking about it.” She admits to having a lapse of good judgement and for — at that moment — “not being the most above-board human being.” After hearing the whole confession, Erika tells Teddi to stick to her story, “You can’t back down.” Teddi shakes her head in disbelief. “I’m fully being set up” (she means by Lisa Vanderpump). Meanwhile, Dorit sits down with Kyle Richards and Vanderpump, who shows Dorit the text messages implicating Teddi’s actions. “Somebody was guilty by omission,” says Vanderpump. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.
