In the American Housewife episode “Baby Crazy”, new mom Viv (Leslie Bib) asks mom of three Katie (Katy Mixon) to take Violet for the night. Viv wants to spend time with her estranged husband, Alan, and hopefully reconcile. Last time we saw Alan (in March 2017), Katie encouraged Viv to stand up to Alan. She didn’t expect Viv to leave him and move in with her and her family. The funniest part of this episode is watching Katie’s husband Greg (Diedrich Bader) get hit hard with a bout of baby fever.
Alan is portrayed by stand-up comedian and actor Jay Mohr. He’s known for his roles on Suburgatory (Steven Royce), Gary Unmarried (Gary), Ghost Whisperer (Professor Rick Payne), The Jeff Foxworthy Show (Wayne Foxworthy), and on Saturday Night Live (1993-1995), among others. American Housewife airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on ABC, right before The Kids Are Alright.
