In The Big Bang Theory episode “The Donation Oscillation,” while trying to seduce her abstaining husband Leonard (Johnny Galecki) to ruin his sperm donation for her ex-boyfriend Zack (Brian Thomas Smith) and his wife Marissa (Lindsey Kraft), Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is visited by her father Wyatt.
Penny’s father Wyatt is portrayed by Oscar winner Keith Carradine. Carradine is known for his roles on Madam Secretary (President Conrad Dalton), Fargo (Lou Solverson), Dexter (Special Agent Frank Lundy, SEE LINK ABOVE), Deadwood (Will Bill Hickock), and in a variety of films including The Ballad of the Sad Café (Marvin Macy), Pretty Baby (Bellocq), and Robert Altman’s Nashville (Tom Frank), among others. Carradine won an Oscar for Best Music, Original Song for his song “I’m Easy” featured in Nashville. The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 pm on CBS, right before its spin-off Young Sheldon.
