In the Lifetime movie Psycho Mother-in-Law (formerly titled Mad Mom), after several failed relationships, Amber Vickers (Victoria Diamond) finally meets her prince charming, Luke (Matthew Raudsepp). When he pops the question, she says yes and the icing on the cake is her future mother-in-law, Jill, who is gorgeous, rich, and loves Amber. Everything is going great until Amber’s mother Sharon (Romy Rosemont) comes to town and stays with Jill in her modern mansion. The two mothers are the exact opposite of each other: Sharon is “gaudy, straight-laced and opinionated.” When Sharon sees how quickly Amber is bonding with Jill, Sharon goes crazy and proves that no one will come between her and her daughter. It’s like Misery but with two mother-in-laws.
Jill is portrayed by Kari Matchett. The Canadian actress is known for her roles on Covert Affairs (Joan Campbell), Leverage (Maggie Collins), Crash (Jules), ER (Dr. Skye Wexler), Heartland (Kate Armstrong), Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (Mary Tate), 24 (Lisa Miller), and A Nero Wolfe Mystery, among others. Psycho Mother-in-Law premieres on Wednesday, January 2 at 8 pm on LMN.
