The Hallmark movie Christmas Everlasting is a bittersweet story. Right before Christmas, New York City corporate lawyer Lucy Toomey (Tatyana Ali, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) learns that her older sister with special needs, Alice (Brittany Guess), has unexpectedly died. When Lucy returns to their Wisconsin home, she’s greeted and consoled by their Uncle Barney. At home, Lucy also reconnects with her ex-boyfriend from high school Peter (Dondre Whitfield), who’s also a lawyer and who reveals big sister Alice’s unusual will to Lucy.
