On Week 2 of Dancing with the Stars Season 27, the 12 remaining couples will perform to songs about New York. Veteran TV actor John Schneider and Emma Slater will do a Charleston to the Sammy Davis, Jr. song “New York’s My Home,” while 17-year-old actor Milo Manheim and his pro dancing partner Witney Carson perform a Charleston to Robin Thicke‘s song “Living in New York City.” But one of the best beats heard on the DWTS New York City night is heard during Tinashe’s Argentine Tango.

The 25-year-old singer/dancer Tinashe and her professional dance partner Brandon Armstrong perform to the 2014 song “New Dorp. New York” by SBTRKT featuring Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig. The line you walk away singing is “My Girl’s Got a City to Run.” New Dorp is a real neighborhood in Staten Island, btw, one of the five New York City boroughs. In pop culture: it’s known as the backdrop to the Corleone’s home in The Godfather (110 Longfellow Avenue on Emerson Hill) and to the 1983 movie Easy Money starring Rodney Dangerfield (a Long Island native). Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC.
