On Growing Up Hip Hop, mama rapper Sandy “Pepa” Denton gets a visit from her first child, son Tyran. The 28-year-old young man comes to town with old baggage in tow but is willing to put it down long enough to interrogate his half-sister Egypt’s boyfriend Sam. Egypt’s father is rapper Treach of Naughty by Nature. Tyran’s father is rapper Tyran “Tah-Tah” Moore” although Tyran refers to Treach as “dad” on social media. In this episode, Pepa worries that Egypt and Sam are going to get married in Vegas so she brings Tyran with her to stop Egypt before it’s too late.
