During the second round of Season 13 auditions for America’s Got Talent, America will watch a variety of crazy, heartfelt, and downright hilarious acts. Christian singer Michael Ketterer will share his story about adopting five children before performing. And the mysteriously quiet illusionist Aaron Crow will blindfold himself and slice a pineapple balancing on Howie Mandel’s bald head. Another memorable act is provided by stand-up comedian Alex Hooper. The soft-bellied, crazy-haired dude from Baltimore is working hard in Los Angeles to make people laugh, and he isn’t afraid to use a Pug to do so. Yes, Pug as in the breed of dog with the wrinkly, short-muzzled face and curled tail.

Alex Hooper released a 2018 Pug Yoga Calendar which featured 12 photos of Alex doing yoga with his two Pugs (Carlton and Kimchi) at iconic L.A. landmarks. In the video below, Hooper talks about how adopting Pugs has changed his entire world. “They took my ice-cold heart and melted it into a warm puddle of fur wrinkled goo. And now, I want to share that goo with you.” Alex sold the calendars for $20, with 10% of net profits donated to Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles, but they’re sold out. Fingers crossed for a 2019 calendar. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
