In the Silicon Valley episode “Initial Coin Offering,” Richard (Thomas Middleditch) has a meeting with lawyer Ron LaFlamme while preparing to close their Series B funding. Jared (Zach Woods) tells Richard that he’s been keeping track of the credits Richard has been giving to Laurie Bream (Suzanne Cryer). When Richard asks Jared, “If we buy them back, how much does it cost?” He’s not happy with the answer ($1.6 million). Richard now needs an alternative to Laurie Bream and, according to Gilfolye (Martin Starr), its Pied Piper Coin.
Ron is portrayed by Ben Feldman. He’s known for his roles on Superstore (Jonah), A to Z (Andrew), Drop Dead Diva (Fred), Mad Men (Michael Ginsberg), and Living with Fran (Josh Reeves), among others. Feldman also starred in the 2017 Funny or Die series The Kellyanne Conway Story as Vice President Mike Pence. (Diane Kruger played Conway; Christopher Meloni played Trump). Shirva Piven directed.
