In the Modern Family episode “In Your Head,” Haley (Sarah Hyland) barges into one of Alex’s (Ariel Winter) classes at college and meets Alex’s cute professor, Arvin Fennerman (Chris Geere). Meanwhile, Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) have a house guest. They met Max while on vacation, and invited him to stay with them if he was ever in town. Well, he is and he’s overstepping his boundaries at Mitch and Cam’s house!
Max is portrayed by Cheyenne Jackson. He’s known for his roles on American Horror Story (Will Drake, Dr. Rudy Vincent, Sidney James), American Woman (Greg), 30 Rock (Danny Baker), Glee (Dustin Goolsby), and in the HBO movie about Liberace with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, Behind the Candelabra (Billy Leatherwood), among others. Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ABC, right after Speechless, and right before American Housewife.
