The new FOX drama 9-1-1 tells the stories of courageous and very human first-responders in Los Angeles. The show follows them while on the job and off the job. 9-1-1 dispatcher Abby Clark (Connie Britton) visits her mother (Mariette Hartley) in the hospital while LAPD Detective Athena Grant (Angela Bassett) accuses her husband of lying to her in their kitchen.
Athena’s husband Michael is portrayed by Rockmond Dunbar. He’s known for his roles on Prison Break (Benjamin “C-Note” Franklin), Scorpion (Scotty), The Path (Abe Gaines), The Mentalist (Dennis Abbott), The Game (Pookie), Sons of Anarchy (Lt. Eli Roosevelt), For Richer or Poorer (Aubrey), Soul Food (Kenny Chadway), and Girlfriends (Jalen), among others. 9-1-1 airs Wednesdays at 9pm on FOX, right after The X-Files.
