On January 11, James Lipton welcomes Emmy-winning actor Ted Danson to the stage of Inside the Actors Studio. Lipton will flip through the pages of Danson’s career as an actor. And no page will go unturned. There will be talk of Cheers, of Danson’s experience filming Three Men and a Baby, and his marriage to actress Mary Steenburgen. But will Lipton know to ask about Danson’s relationship with Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the Broadway smash hit Hamilton?
[Danson played Peter in the sexy thriller Body Heat with William Hurt and Kathleen Turner]
Just days ago, Lin-Manuel Miranda told his 2 million followers on social media to watch Danson’s current sitcom The Good Place on NBC. Miranda said he just met Danson on Curb Your Enthusiasm and was sad that he didn’t have Swedish Fish on him. (Danson reportedly can eat Swedish Fish and then snort them out his nose.) Danson replied to Miranda’s generous tweet: “Lin, dude! We’re so honored you’re watching.” Danson is now following Miranda on Twitter; Danson follows just 16 people, and that includes his wife! Inside the Actors Studio airs Thursdays at 8pm on Bravo.
