In the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode “99,” the whole precinct travels to LA for a funeral. The good news is Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) learns he’s being considered for his dream job – NYPD Commissioner. In order to get Holt back to New York for his big interview, they hit the road and crash at the home of the Boyle family. The crew meets Becca Boyle who’s portrayed by Frederick Koehler.
[Koehler was in hilarious film Mr. Mom with Michael Keaton]
Frederick Koehler is known for his roles on American Horror Story (Real Lot Polk), Lost (Seamus), Oz (Andrew Schillinger), and as a child actor on Kate & Allie (son Chip Lowell, photo below) and on Saturday Night Live (various roles including Young Howard Cosell). Koehler made his acting debut in the hilarious 1983 John Hughes film Mr. Mom as Michael Keaton and Teri Garr’s young son Alex (see very worthwhile link above). Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Tuesdays at 9:30pm on FOX, right after The Mick.
