In the Married to Medicine episode “Black Girl Magic or Black Girl Tragic,” the ladies travel together to New Orleans. In the chauffeured van, the ladies break out a bottle of tequila and tune up with Tequila shots. Toya Bush-Harris says she’s excited to return to NOLA with just the girls “and to be carefree, not pregnant and all about fun.” Dr. Simone Whitmore says she’s ready to “kick it and have a good time” too.
[What the ladies needed on that trip was Himalayan Salt Shot Glasses for their Tequila]
Before they get out of the van, Simone says she wants to work “on me” and return home with a “new vibe.” Simone asks everyone if there’s one thing you could work on, what would it be. Dr. Jackie Walters says, “Tolerance.” Dr. Heavenly Kimes wants to “stop being impatient.” She tells the camera “My mind is faster than the world. And I think God is playing a trick on me because everyone around me is slow.” After a pregnant pause Heavenly throws shade, “Oh, maybe that’s just Toya.” Quad, who has admitted to having a difficult time with her husband Dr. G, is the only woman who says “I don’t know” what I would work on. Simone looks disappointed with her answer. Married to Medicine airs Fridays at 8pm on Bravo.
