Jimmy Kimmel is in a “Twitter war” — his words — with Alabama senate candidate Roy Moore. In case you live under a rock, Moore has been accused of showing too much his appreciation for underage girls in the past. (Accused of it by multiple women, thought not convicted of it.) In an early salvo in the Twitter war, Moore challenged Kimmel to come to Alabama and face him “man to man.” Kimmel pretended to be perplexed, but was obviously delighted by the dialogue — which is manna for the comedian’s work.
Kimmel accepted Moore’s challenge, saying he’ll come to Alabama and they can even fight if Moore wants. Kimmel promises to wear a girl scout uniform so Moore has “something to get excited about.” (Note: Moore already seems excited.) In trying to catch people up on Moore’s background, Kimmel repeated the charge that Moore was allegedly banned from the shopping mall decades due to his proclivities with approaching young women. Kimmel says: “Roy Moore was reportedly so creepy around young girls that he was banned from the mall in Gadsden, Alabama.” He continued: “Imagine getting banned from the mall. Just think about that.” There’s more information about Moore’s alleged mall banning here.
