In the Riverdale Chapter Sixteen episode “The Watcher in the Woods,” a frustrated Archie (KJ Apa) takes matters into his own hands to catch his father’s shooter. Meanwhile, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) starts his first day at Southside High School he’s befriended by Toni Topaz, a member of the Southside Serpent gang.
Toni is portrayed by Vanessa Morgan. The Canadian-born actress is known for her roles on The Shannara Chronicles (Lyria), Finding Carter (Bird), My Babysitter’s a Vampire (Sarah Fox), A.N.T. Farm (Vanessa LaFontaine), and in the 2010 film Frankie & Alice (as a young Frankie/Halle Berry), among others. Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CW.
