In the Designated Survivor episode “Sting of the Tail,” FBI Agent Hannah Wells (Maggie Q) promises to capture finally closes in on Patrick Lloyd, the man who’s threatening the lives of the president (Kiefer Sutherland) and his family, among others. While Wells finally closes in on Lloyd, the president takes action during the White House Correspondents Dinner. At the black-tie event, the president has an interesting conversation with his widowed mother-in-law Eva Booker. She knows something about how Washington works. She used to be a secretary with the Department of Defense.

Eva Booker is portrayed by Bonnie Bedelia. She’s known for her roles on Parenthood (Camille Braverman), The Division (Capt.
