The Battle Rounds on The Voice is fun to watch because it’s the first glimpse of the artists working with their coaches and their famous musician friends. On Season 13, Team Miley coach Miley Cyrus brings her dad to work — country music star Billy Ray Cyrus. (Blake Shelton works with Rascal Flatts; Adam Levine with Joe Jonas; and Jennifer Hudson with Kelly Rowland).

Billy Ray Cyrus made his debut in 1992 with the song “Achy Breaky Heart” just 10 months before Miley was born. Now he’s about to release his 15th studio album Set the Record Straight — which will be out November 10 (pre-order link above). The album features a number of stellar singers including George Jones and Loretta Lynn who sing together on the track “Country Music Has the Blues.” And Miley is featured on Billy Ray’s song “Stand,” which Billy Ray says is about standing for what you believe in and “being the change you want to see in the world.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
