Eric Lyn is one of the talented young singers competing on The Voice, Season 13. For his Blind Audition he sings the 1970 song “Ooh Child” originally performed by the Chicago Soul family band, the Five Stairsteps. It was their last big hit.

Though it was taped in advance, Lyn’s performance on The Voice will air the day after the tragic, senseless mass shooting in Las Vegas. When he sings the line “things are going to get better,” you’re going to want to believe him. America is going to want to believe him. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
