In the Dance Moms episode “Under Cheryl’s Spell,” it’s one week until Nationals. To better the chances of the Irreplaceables winning at the competition, new choreographer Cheryl Burke of Dancing with the Stars Mirror Ball Trophy fame (who’s stepping in while Abby Lee Miller is in prison) adds an old rival to the team. Cheryl tells the girls, “There’s no other way to do this but full-out times 100.”
The Dance Moms are nervous because they’ve never won at Nationals without Abby Lee Miller. And this could be the last time they see their kids take the stage. Nia’s mother Holly Frazier sounds the most confident, “We’ve blossomed into something totally different.” But that doesn’t mean the bitching between the Dance Moms has stopped. They should probably just relax and let the incredible Cheryl Burke do her job. If she can get 6’3″ tall Terrell Owens to jump over her head while standing straight up (as she did on DWTS), she can win the Nationals with a troupe of young professional dancers. Dance Moms airs Tuesdays at 8pm on Lifetime.
