Actor John Stamos (Grandfathered, Full House) is hosting the PBS televised event A Capitol Fourth to celebrate America’s birthday. Several musical acts will perform including country singer Trace Adkins who will sing his new hit “Still a Soldier,” The Voice Season 12 winner Chris Blue, and Disney actress Sofia Carson. The 24-year-old actress/singer from Fort Lauderdale, Florida (her parents are from Colombia) is known for her roles as Chelsea in Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally, Evie (daughter of the Evil Queen) in the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants (and the forthcoming Descendants 2), Lola Perez in Adventures in Babysitting, and Tessa in A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits, among others.
As a singer, Sofia Carson is known for her 2016 debut single “Love Is the Name” and in February she released a music video for her song “Back to Beautiful” featuring Alan Walker, which has more than 15 million views. See below. A Capitol Fourth will air on July 4 at 8pm on PBS.
