On the July 16 episode of Celebrity Family Feud, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and his family competes against former NBA star Rick Fox and his family. deGrasse Tyson has more college degrees than Fox but don’t discount Fox on the Feud. The questions aren’t about physical cosmology!

Neil deGrasse Tyson was born and raised in New York City where he got turned onto astronomy after a visit to the city’s legendary Hayden Planetarium. He went on to graduate from the prestigious Bronx High School of Science, Harvard University, University of Texas at Austin (master’s in astronomy), and Columbia University (another master’s, and PhD in astrophysics). He joined the Hayden Planetarium as a staff scientist and became the director in 1996. deGrasse Tyson married Alice Young (they met in a physics class in Austin) in 1988. She and their two children Miranda (who’s named after the smallest of Uranus’ five major moons) and Travis will compete on Celebrity Family Feud which airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC. The charity they are playing for is STRIVE International, an organization that trains and helps the unemployed find employment.
