The idea of a team of White House staffers competing on an obstacle course against a team of lawyers is TV worthy — so Battle of the Network Stars is making it happen. Not with real staffers and lawyers but with actors who play them on TV. The White House team includes three from The West Wing: Oscar winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God), Joshua Malina, and Mary McCormack. On the lawyers team is Elisabeth Rohm (Law & Order), Corbin Bernsen (LA Law), and Catherine Bell, among others.
Before Catherine Bell launched the popular and long-running Good Witch franchise on Hallmark Channel as Cassie Nightingale, she was known for her roles on Army Wives (Denise Sherwood), and JAG (Sarah MacKenzie), among others. Battle of the Network Stars airs Thursdays at 9pm on ABC.
