On The Real Housewives of New York, the ladies get together for dinner where Tinsley Mortimer talks about moving out of Sonja Morgan’s house and into a hotel for two months. Tinsley explains it’s “a much better move for me” as all her furniture is still in Florida. Plus, “I’ve always wanted to be Eloise. It’s my favorite book in the world,” says Tinsley.
Eloise is the 1955 children’s book written by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight. Eloise is a little girl who lives on the “tippy-top” floor of the famous Plaza Hotel in New York City. Legend goes that Thompson possibly modeled the character Eloise on her goddaughter, singer and entertainment legend Liza Minnelli, although Minnelli coyly denied it on The Rosie Show (see below). The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
