Ernestine Shepherd is the impressive 81-year-old bodybuilder on Little Big Shots: Forever Young. She’s in the Guinness Book of World Records (2010, 2011) as the Oldest Female Competitive Bodybuilder. Ernestine explains on Little Big Shots: Forever Young that she and her sister started lifting weights because they didn’t like how they looked in bathing suits. At the time, Ernestine was 56, her sister was 57.
Before her sister passed away, Ernestine promised to inspire other seniors to live a happy, healthy lifestyle by keeping one’s body in “good, good working condition.” On her website, Ernestine says she wakes up at 3am every day and is inspired by Sylvester Stallone and his Rocky character.
