In the Teen Mom OG episode ‘Making Waves,’ the moms (and dads) travel to Puerto Rico for a group vacation without kids. One morning, when Catelynn and Tyler and Amber and Matt gather for breakfast, producer Kerthy comments “When you guys are together, it’s like seeing cousins who were raised together.” Catelynn and Amber agree and say it’s because “we have so much in common with our past stuff.” Amber goes on to say how hard her mother worked and she was “in a relationship with an alcoholic.” Amber says she doesn’t want to talk about her father “because he’s not here anymore.” When her fiance Matt chimes in about his alcoholic father, Amber asks if they can stop talking about this stuff.” Amber then breaks down and says, “I can’t do this right now” and walks away from the group.
