Team Gwen doesn’t have any artists in The Voice Live Finale but coach Gwen Stefani will perform with one of her favorite artists who came close to the finals — Hunter Plake. Gwen has made it abundantly clear throughout the season that she believes Hunter is a special artist. So it’s no surprise that she chose Hunter to sing with her, her 1996 No Doubt hit song “Don’t Speak.” (It’s about her breakup with No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal.)
Gwen Stefani co-wrote the song with her big brother Eric Stefani who was an original bandmember of No Doubt. He left after their third album Tragic Kingdom. The Stefani sibling song was nominated for two Grammys — for Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. The Voice Live Finale airs Tuesday, May 23 at 8pm on NBC.
